If You Understand Genesis 22, You Understand the Entire Bible

On the way up the mountain, Isaac asks his father one question: "Where is the lamb?" Genesis 22 never answers it. A ram is provided — but a ram is not a lamb. The answer runs from that hillside through a thousand years of temple mornings to a river in Judea — and once you see it, you cannot unsee it. This video walks through the binding of Isaac — the Akedah — verse by verse, and shows why Genesis 22 reads like the blueprint of the entire Bible, written two thousand years early. You'll see the first time the word love (ahavah) appears in Scripture, and why it belongs to a father giving up his son. Why God calls Isaac your "only son" (yachid) when Abraham had two — and how John's Gospel picks up the same word (monogenes). Why the three-day journey matters, what "we will come back" reveals about Abraham's faith (Hebrews 11), and what the Hebrew word tachat — "instead of" — plants on that mountain.
